Hello e-Friends!

I can't believe it's Ho Ho Holiday time again!

How will you spend your holidays this year?

Hubby Steve and I are headed to Palm Springs to stay in our timeshare at the Palm Springs Tennis Club. We love going to the desert at holiday time for some R&R, and attending Christmas Eve services at the Episcopal church there. I'm sharing photos this month from trips we've taken there from previous Christmases.

I've been busy this month with the following good writing things happening:

*I accepted another new phone consulting client beginning in January, 2008 who lives in Oregon. I now have virtual clients from eight states. (And international clients are welcome!)

*A national decorating magazine editor contacted me to hire me to write another article.

*Two directors from a national decorating association with 400 members inquired about my writing services for their members.

*I was blessed by an accomplished author friend who offered to put a book manuscript of mine directly into the hands of her editor.

I LOVE my work but of course since I love it it doesn't really feel like work! And I do spend hour upon hour doing it, so it would not be for everyone, of course. But for me, it's my bliss! What's your bliss?! What makes you want to get up in the morning? What makes your heart sing?!

Speaking of creative bliss, how's your Ho Ho Home office looking these days?! Is it a paper prison where you're grueling or a gorgeous garden where you're blooming?! If you'd like your creative workspace and/or home office to feel like a Spa for Your Spirit, then you'll be glad to hear about my new Virtual Home Office Organizing Services that I am now offering to my virtual writing and PR clients. I call it Decor- ganizing. (TM)

No matter where you live, via phone and e-mail I can coach you on how to make your workspace a more productive and attractive place, and help you set up a system to keep track of your writing and PR projects. I had my own organizing business for years, and I also had a decorating website, so I can do this in my sleep! See what past clients said about my organizing and decorating expertise.

I am now booking clients for January, which is National Get Organized Month so you'll be right in the swing of things! E-mail me today at kathrynbechen@yahoo.com to set up your appointment.

Here's how my phone consulting works.

I wish you a very blessed holiday season!

PR PIzzazz! -- New Teleseminar Coming Soon

I have developed a new presentation called PR Pizzazz! - Learn How to Get PR for Your Small or Solo Business. If you'd like to take this class in a teleseminar format, which means you call into a phone line and I teach a group of you over the phone for one hour, e-mail me at kathrynbechen@yahoo.com so I can put you on my interest list.

Teleseminars are a great way to learn. No matter where you live, I can teach you virtually while you sit at home in bed in your PJ's! Ater all, that's where I often work from, as you will notice from the photos of my own home office in my recent In the Spotlight feature by my dear client and now friend Ruth Welter of Artful Creations. Ruth is an international artist who just sent one of her mailboxes off to Belgium!

Blog Bliss

Wander on over to my e-friend Tina Smith's blog, Cherry Hill Cottage in Texas for some festive holiday cheer. Tina is a homemaker extraordinaire and you'll love seeing all the beautiful decor and scrumptious meals at her beautiful blog, especially this Christmas.

Thank you all also for the Kind Kudos you have sent me about my own blog. I love writing for you, my very dear readers!

Ask the Writer

Q: What's the best way to deal with writer's block?

A: Personally, I've never had writer's block in my 49 years of living. That's probably because I write something every day, even if it's just a journal entry or a grocery list. It all counts. Putting pen to paper continuously gets the "publishable" writing juices flowing, and before you know it, you've got an article to send out.

Client Success Stories

Two of my PR phone consulting clients scored this month! One received a blurb and photo about her business in the local newspaper, and the other learned that her work will be featured in a book. I wrote a Press Release for one client, and in both cases, I gave my clients tips and ideas for what to say and how to approach the publications, and they did the work, empowering themselves to become PR mavens for their businesses!

You can do this for your small and/or solo creative business, too. E-mail me at kathrynbechen@yahoo.com to book your personalized and confidential phone consultation.

Bed & Breakfast Bliss

If you're going to be in San Diego anytime soon, be sure to stay at the wonderful Bed & Breakfast, Heritage Park Inn, in Olde Town. It's a gracious step back to Victorian times. I stayed there earlier this year and loved it.
