Am I the Professional Writer For Your Project?
-
An award-winning writer, I’ve interviewed famous financial wizard Warren Buffett and his mother, well-known lifestyle author Alexandra Stoddard, and actress Meg Ryan’s professional organizer, author Regina Leeds, for published feature articles. I’ve also interviewed celebrity wedding planner Scott Corridan, who orchestrated a $1.7 million dollar wedding, and a home I scouted and wrote about for the national newsstand-quality magazine, Small Room Decorating, was featured along with some of HGTV’s hottest new design stars. And that's just a few of my published feature article interviewees.

My magazine and newspaper editors trust me with high profile assignments because they are confident I have the professionalism, verbal polish, and writing skill to interview highly accomplished, and even famous, people. On the other hand, they know I’m just as capable of interviewing the girl next door too and making her feel at ease, and then turning pages and pages of interview notes into an engaging feature story that requires no or very little editing, has all the facts and sources accurate, and is within editor-assigned word count.

My private writing clients, most of whom are creative entrepreneurs, often tell me that I am artfully able to capture their unique personal and business essence in words for their marketing materials when they, or other writers, have struggled to do so.
-
Okay, I’ll admit it! I'm incredibly persnickety about turning in error free assignments on time. But even so, my clients say I’m easy to work with and also care about them, and it’s true, I do. I love giving them personalized “boutique-style service with a smile” because I feel they, quite simply, deserve my best. And if you hire me, I’ll give you that kind of service too.

I’ve studied my craft formally for a long time. I have a B.A. in English and Education which yes, probably accounts for my astute (okay, persnickety!) attention to detail. But I promise my personality isn’t like your cranky old English teacher with her critical red pen!

Plain and simple, if you want your project well done, with flair, and on deadline, then I’m your writer. On the other hand, if you’re bothered by my penchant for detail, or you want the cheapest writer out there, then in all honesty, I’m not the one for your project as my clients tend to expect high quality and stellar service. Does that mean if you’re a novice in your field that I’m not your writer? No. It just means that I work best with very motivated clients I also enjoy working with, who expect the best end product, and who appreciate my experience and credentials.
-
I’ve been a published writer for over 20 years and have also taught writing and been hired to mentor others.
Like any true professional, I continue to grow my skills through reading, seminars, conferences, and networking with my high achieving author colleagues and friends.

Writing is, quite simply, my passion. It’s what makes me want to get up in the morning, and what makes me wake up at 3 a.m. to jot down ideas in a notebook. I’ll bring that enthusiasm to your project. Every time. Or as John Ruskin said it best, “When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece.”
